How to Report HAIs

The NJ Department of Health has partnered with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to collect information on health care associated infections (HAIs) in ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. The data is collected through the CDC's National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN).

Hospitals and all other facilities that report HAIs need to before they submit their data.

Report Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs)

Under state law, ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) are required to submit data to the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Department of Health on healthcare-associated infections. The Department is required to review and analyze this data, and report the results in ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ's annual Hospital Performance Report. HAI data from ASCs will be publicly reported when its volume becomes high enough to warrant reliable reporting.
