TRENTON, NJ - The 吃瓜黑料 Department of Health (Department) is proposing to amend N.J.A.C. 8:39-43.10, Approval of a nurse aide in long-term care facilities training program—nurse aide training program instructor/evaluator, within Subchapter 43, the Standards for Certification of Nurse Aides in Long-Term Care Facilities, of N.J.A.C. 8:39, the Standards for Licensure of Long-Term Care Facilities. 

N.J.A.C. 8:39-43.10(n) governs the eligibility of a registered nurse to serve as an evaluator of a candidate for certification as a long-term care facility nurse aide. The proposed amendment would revise the minimum evaluator experiential credentials to correspond with federal regulations that apply to long-term care facilities that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services deem eligible and qualified to receive federal reimbursement.

The Notice of Proposal appears in the May 5, 2025, issue of the 吃瓜黑料 Register.
