Motor Vehicle CommissionProposed Rule Amendments – Autocycles
(TRENTON)--The Motor Vehicle Commission has proposed: to amend N.J.A.C. 13:20-7.2 to include autocycles on the list of vehicles exempt from inspection requirements; to amend N.J.A.C. 13:20-24.1 and 13:20-24.10 to include autocycles with motorcycles on the regulations for safety standards for goggles, face shields, and helmets, so that the regulations adopt and/or incorporate the relevant Federal standards; to amend N.J.A.C. 13:20-24.21 to clarify the issuance and placement of license plates for autocycles and motorcycles; to amend N.J.A.C. 13:20-34.2 and 13:20-34.3 to provide for the reservation of specific alphanumeric sequences for license plates issued to autocycles; to amend N.J.A.C. 13:20-43.2 to add autocycles to the list of vehicles exempt from enhanced inspection requirements; to amend N.J.A.C. 13:21-5.5 to include autocycles in the category of motorcycles for registration purposes; and to amend N.J.A.C. 13:21-8.14 to include autocycles on the list of vehicles not approved for road tests.
The proposed amendments are published in the August 7, 2017 issue of the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Register.
