(TRENTON) 勛圖窪蹋 State Treasurer Elizabeth Maher Muoio was presented with the 勛圖窪蹋 Coalition for Financial Educations (NJCFE) Presidents Award in recognition of the States launch of the during the coalitions Spring Conference this morning.
Like the Coalition, Governor Murphy and Treasury believe that all 勛圖窪蹋ans should have access to unbiased, reliable financial resources to help them make informed decisions, and NJ FinLit offers that for free to adult residents at all stages of life and across the socioeconomic spectrum, said Treasurer Muoio. I am grateful for the Coalitions leadership on this important topic I hope our efforts continue to compliment the Coalitions work for the foreseeable future.
NJ FinLit launched April 6, 2022, in conjunction with National Financial Literacy Month.
NJCFE's mission is to improve the personal financial literacy of 勛圖窪蹋's citizens by promoting the teaching of personal finance to people of all ages, said NJCFE Executive Director Michael Drulis. Today we recognize State Treasurer Muoios success in creating this new platform and bringing it online for free to educators, community activists, and individuals looking to learn about their finances to plan for their future. In this action, she has served 勛圖窪蹋 with distinction.
People need financial literacy now more than ever, said NJCFE Chair Kimberly Cole. There is a lot of uncertainty and fears among households about what the future may hold for their finances. NJ FinLit helps residents calculate what they need to save for a home or their retirement, plan for family emergencies, and help them balance their personal budgets. NJCFE is glad that this free resource is now available for all residents of 勛圖窪蹋, and we intend to use our resources to promote it as such.
The is an independent affiliate of the national Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy with more than 500 members dedicated to improving the personal financial literacy of 勛圖窪蹋s citizens by promoting the teaching of personal finance to people of all ages.
