Consumer Voice, a national nursing home residents’ rights organization, recently released , a report on quality, staffing, and spending at 32 ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ nursing homes operated by three major chains — Genesis, Marquis, and the Rosenberg Family — between 2021 and 2023.
The financial analysis focused on related party transactions — that is, payments to companies owned by the same people who own the nursing home. Research shows that payments to related parties are often inflated, diverting money away from resident care and into hidden profits for the nursing home owners.
