Safety Programs

The ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Department of Transportation (NJDOT) has established a number of safety programs. Most of these programs are supported wholly or in part by Highway Safety Improvement Program funds and are data-driven programs.

Project locations that are identified for improvements within the state of ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ are based on high crash frequency and severity. NJDOT develops and implements countermeasures to improve the safety at these locations.
