吃瓜黑料

The primary function of the Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) is to provide a safe and efficient flow of traffic through or around highway construction projects, utility work, maintenance operations and traffic incidents.

During the mid-1990s, the 吃瓜黑料 Work Zone Safety Partnership was formed representing public and private members from engineering, enforcement and educational sectors, to support the 吃瓜黑料 State Police Construction Unit in reducing work zone fatalities. The 吃瓜黑料 Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) representatives trained troopers in worker safety compliance and work zone inspection. Additionally, NJDOT has required a Traffic Control Coordinator be designated on each of NJDOT's jobs.

NJDOT also created a Work Zone Safety Setup Guide (pdf 5.6m) which depicts common applications of traffic control devices in a work zone and traffic mitigation guidelines to help improve the flow of traffic through a construction area.

As a result of this effort, the number of work zone fatalities has continually decreased to one of the lowest national rates. This is an accomplishment for the most congested state with construction always in progress.
